SubBar Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 15, 2026
SubBar stores subscription data on your device and, when iCloud is available, in your private iCloud database. SubBar does not require bank login, mailbox access, or a SubBar account.
Information you add to SubBar
You may enter subscription names, providers, amounts, currencies, billing dates, billing cycles, categories, notes, icons, colors, and reminder preferences. This information is used only to show your subscription list, renewal reminders, totals, imports, exports, and menu bar status.
Storage and iCloud sync
SubBar is local-first. Data is saved on your iPhone or Mac. If iCloud is available for your Apple ID, SubBar syncs app data through your private iCloud database using Apple CloudKit. The SubBar developer does not operate a SubBar account system and does not have direct access to the records in your private iCloud database.
Purchases and restore
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. SubBar uses RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements and restore status across iPhone and Mac. RevenueCat may process purchase identifiers, entitlement status, app instance identifiers, device type, app version, and diagnostic information needed to make purchases and restores work. SubBar never receives your full payment card details.
Reminders and notifications
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device after you enable reminders and grant notification permission. SubBar does not use a marketing push notification service and does not send renewal reminders from a SubBar server.
App Lock and biometrics
If you enable App Lock, SubBar uses Apple's local authentication system, such as Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode, to protect the app. Biometric data is handled by the operating system and is not available to SubBar.
Support email
If you email support, your email address, message, device information you include, and any attachments you choose to send are used to respond to your request and troubleshoot the issue.
Diagnostics, analytics, and tracking
SubBar does not track users across apps or websites and does not use third-party advertising analytics. Apple may provide crash logs or diagnostics to developers when you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings.
Website hosting
This website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may process standard web server information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps to provide hosting, security, and reliability.
Your choices
You can delete subscriptions in the app, remove the app to delete local app data from a device, manage iCloud data from your Apple ID settings, disable notifications in system settings, and restore or manage App Store purchases with Apple.
